Guerrilla Apologetics for Life Issues
Practical Arguments against abortion and other abuses of Human Life
http://www.gaplologetics.com
by Paul E. Novak
Political Cartoons by Paul A. Nowak
I have been Pro Life, truly believing in God’s gift of life, since my mother was pregnant with her seventh child when I, her oldest, was 12. Her Doctor gave us a calendar explaining exactly what was developing at each stage and the secrets were revealed. We’d always had a little one in the house. Yet suddenly the reality of this unborn person was beyond argument. Since then I have never comprehended the Pro-choice arguments.
I have understood their frustration with the lack of compassion Pro life people seem to have. Often we criticize in ways that shut down communication rather than helping people explore their knowledge, open their minds and perhaps consider a change of heart.
The lack of Logic in school curriculum plans and the absence of Socratic teaching methods has truly ‘dumbed us down.’ We do not ask the questions that help people look at Life issues from different angles. Either we avoid the discussion and so are compliant in the destruction of Human Life or we go to battle, making enemies.
This book is the new war manual. It is small and challenging. It avoids all religion based discussion and gives you all the facts you need to work with in drawing out a conversation. As a mother I saw another clear benefit. No gory, frightening details of the act of abortion. I could allow my teens and even preteens to read this and begin to learn the kindness and compassion that the ProLife movement ought to engender.
I would seriously consider this book as a gift to those so upset by the issue of abortion that they have lost their ability to fight well. Presented as a change of tactics it allows us to switch from defense to offense— without being offensive.

 1. […] Father tackled this issue from a very different perspective, actually addressing a pet peeve of mine. If we have worked with them over the years how is it that our arguments that human life exists from conception, that violence in the womb will only increase injustice have failed. We are conversing with people of caring, of intelligence. In Father Dietzen’s words:”It never seems to occur to people, pro-life or not, that a reason for our failure to persuade in matters of respect for life may have something to do with the quality of our arguments, or even perhaps in the way we argue our cause.” I addressed this idea in my revie w of Guerrilla Apologetics for Pro Life Issues. “I have understood their frustration with the lack of compassion Pro life people seem to have.
